Frankenia but not hirsuta

Post by MWP admin »

I met a non hairy Frankenia (ie not F. hirstuta) but can't decide between F. laevis and F. pulverulenta (=more propable). 2 different authorities gave me a different answer each!!! :banghead:

From Blamey's dillustrations, I would exclude F.laevis since it is shown with broad leaves, but when I checked the digital herbarium of Spain, F.laevis had similar leaves to pulverulenta.

Here are the links:

laevis: http://herbarivirtual.uib.es/eng-med/im ... 82377.html

i think that is pulverulenta. met it commonly along the coasts esp on the eastern coast of Malta often with typical hirsuta.
