Mr. Stephen Mifsud invited me to the forums. I had emailed him recently about hopefully obtaining some Elatine gussonei seeds to try out in my planted aquarium garden. I read his article in the Aquatic Gardeners Association and became intrigued with this plant because it looks so much like a popular plant that we have here called Glossostigma elatinoides, hence the species name.
I am the current president of the Greater Washington Aquatic Plant Association, which can be found here: www.gwapa.org. I am curious if any of you can help me out with my search to obtain some of this interesting plant to introduce to the hobby here in the United States. Please rest assured that we are responsible hobbiests and do not release exotic species into the wild. Thanks for any help you can give me in my search for this plant.
Also, if there are any other interesting aquatic plants you all have discovered please share about them.
