A brown polished mollusc

I have seen this empty shell at Dwejra. It was in shallow water near the coast, and photographed it upwaters. It was highly polished and very beautiful, about 2-3cm long.

Would like to know the species for putting on the website.

Now the name has been changed to Naria spurca, (L. 1758)
