I would like to identify the 'cute' bug that I photographed on the Dyer's Litmus plant found at chadwick lakes. I would like to know its English/Latin name (and Maltese also if possible) to include this info on the site.

The 'cute' bug is a nymph Green Vegetable Bug, Nezara viridula.
In fact, only the nymphs of this species seem to have the vibrant coloration on their backs. The markings tend to fade out as they change their exoskeleton to grow further, leeving the adults with faded markings, or nothing at all, just green.
