swimming creature at wied incita

another swimming creature from wied incita this time....this one holds its tail up and is 5 to 6 cm long ...I am not sure this is the same thing as I had posted under topic "swimming creature at chadwick lakes"

any clues?

I have a distant clue, it must be some kind of larvae (not reptile/amphibian) which is drawing air from the posterior end through a tube.

I'll keep an eye on something like that while browsing. Maybe Conch is familiar with something like that.

Indeed MWP, that's the larva of a dipteran the name of which eludes me right now. The artificial stream in the 'chinese'-styled garden at university was full of them last November.
