Thanks Wolf.

I am an amatuer photographer and I like to take various macros or not of various plants around Malta. The prob is I don't know their names and so I end up calling them "a plant" on my website hehe. I decided to start finding out their names.

I'll post other plant photos soon. :)

Thanks again.

Ah interesting, so you go for plant photo hunting? I generally go around for anything interesting to photograph. I like mainly scenaries and macros of insects and plants.

This is a flower, don't know if you or someoneelse knows what's the name. I have a lot of photos like these without their proper names.

The 2nd photo is in Wied Speranza, Mosta, going down from the Speranza Chapel, direction Mgarr (not direction Naxxar). Very nice place. So those plants are Yuccas? Another alien plant?

Point taken re: cultivated stuff. That's a flower in the MIA airport.

Hi Cristoforo, welcome to our Forum! As Wolf said, this forum has many amateurs who like photographing wild plants and some real experts like our dear Jackpot!
Like our Wolf I am also an amateur, but this forum seems to have made us addicted!

The Speranza seems to be quite interesting, I never really went there - I always end up in the Wied il-Ghasel near Mosta. However, I am discovering some interesting valleys recently.

Hi Cristoforo, a big welcome also from the administrator. You have arrived to a perfect place (web-forum) for your purposes of Plant ID. Simply post a photo or more of a particular plant species in this topic and we will be happy to help you.

Just one thing I would like that you (and all) obsserve. I would like that there would be a plant ID per topic rather than posting many different species per topic-post. Should be 'a post is a case' sort of thing. Would make things more easy, tidy and minimize confusion.

I can assure you that those who called themselves as amateurs are saying that with a reasonable quantity of modesty. I would describe them as semi-pros when it comes to ID plants without any exageration.

Anyway, hope you enjoy ypur stay on the forum and find it useful.

So I should open a thread for each photo eh? No problem.

Actually, 1 thread per plant species, but then one can post as much photos as he wants regarding that plant only.

I soon show you an example as myself, I have a plant to Identify it!
