Post by jonagius »

Hi Conchiolin,

The moth is a Pandesma robusta. Here is it's profile:

Species: Pandesma robusta (Walker, 1858)
Family: Noctuidae
Subfamily: Catocalinae
Common Name: (No common name)
Flight period: Apr & Jun - Dec in 2 generations.
Distribution: Cyprus, Greece, Crete, Turkey, Sicily, Mainland Italy, Malta, Portugal, Spain, India and Saudi Arabia.
Local status: Neither common nor rare. But since it is a very strong flier and migrant, numbers tend to fluctuate.
Larval foodplants: Albizzia lebbek, Populus euphratica
Similar species: Clytie illunaris (Hübner, 1813)
