Maltawildplants.com is now considered an online flora of the Maltese islands, portraying more than 900 species of plants found in Maltese habitats. It harbours a forum created in 2005 were memberes discuss topics about the Maltese flora and ID of plants.
I still have not understood if the photos in the first post are P.viridis or not, and possibly if you can confirm P. viridis shown in the last photo (where I caleld it typical form).
Ok, lets check this Agrostis stolonifera... TNX JP its a bit clear now...
One differnce I see (which might not be significant) is that the lowermost whorl is somehow more appressed to the stem in the first photos, while pretty patent and undifferentiated in the lower specimen...
The inflorescence of the latter photo (with half whorls) was about 15cm while the other set of photos above (which look to have full whorls, but maybe I took the photo from that 'frontal' angle where it does not show properely if half or not ) where of the same size or slightly larger.
Latter plants was not more from 50cm high but the former I do not recall, (but surely less from my waist)
Haslam says Agrostis stolonifera 40cm / P. viridis 60cm
