this one looks exactly like salvia verbenaca ..it smelled more or less of salvia verbenaca but those large leaves confounded me also the rather thick stalk. I am reproducing photo more or less in actual size of plant. Once again it was found in a degraded part of ghadira sand dune and there was no other salvia visible ...though lots of oxalis and just one bushy restharrow amongst other mixed flora
just common plant growing in a funny way or something else ?

I think I have something similar (but nicer )... I am not sure if it is the same species or not but similar features include the hairy stem, inflorescences and flower seems the same too (maybe size differs?!). On the other hand the leaves of my flower are more wrinkled.

....jackpot is confused....
is it a ---? ...ok mutation or hybrid? NO ALBINO
Wolf: have you seen the dog of Admini close to this plant??
ok, seriously: I have no idea, I do not think it is Salvia verbenaca.
I seem to be finding some weird stuff unless it is s.verbenaca given the mwp-dog salute !!!
seriously comparing with mwp picture i tend to think it is verv likely to be verbeneca but it is nice to see the experts confused at times
And here, Mr. Admini (sounds arabic ) at 11:45pm is more confused after reading both posts of yours as he did not undertood anything! (esp regards his dog and its realtion with this flower) - perhaps I suppose that I should recheck this post tomorrow morning after a good bowl of milk + cornflakes and an orange!
