Convolvulus oleifolius

Post by MWP admin »

Just want to confirm if this is Convolvulus oleifolius. All photos of this species I have on HD have a whitish to pale-pink colour while this one below is quite dark.

Even specimens on the internet they are quite pale !

I have seen rather white flowers, and I have seen rather pink flowers. I believe that flowers which have a rather pale colouring, especially pink flowered for some reason, tend to be very variable in depth of hue.

I must add that oftentimes, the age of the flower is determining. The older, the darker it gets.

As an aside, I have just obtained cuttings of a particular Hibiscus sp that has flowers that open pure white, and die dark pink.
