Yes, looks like a hybrid between a muppet and a Christmas decoration - where on earth did you find this thing? is it a natural photo - I mean have you removed or added structures, styled its hair or something? I find it hard to believe that there are such creatures among our flora

PS - I was very busy - hence my very limited interaction with the forum over the past weeks - I am now back to a more normal routine

It is a photo of a wild plant with the following graphical manipulations:

1) crop
2) straightened (to make 'nose' vertical)
3) added text
4) added comic text

Nothing ese!

I have an 'eye' for these things and beauty. I await something from wolf, then i start the hints.

Yes, to have guessed Ajuga iva from that tiny bit does take an expert - I have seen Ajuga many times, and have also photographed it but I would not have guessed this quiz in a hundred years - good for you jackpot

You have excellent feeling Robcar. Congratulations, it was Stapelia, one of my fav ornamentals, both for the flowers, and both for the ease of propagation. Also manged to get plants from seeds.

It is not a wild plant, but the stems are easily propagated if say plants are disposed in 'wild' soil. If you cut a part of the plant and stick it in soil, it will readily form roots - same as those notorious Aptanea... I tried to give a hint so the 800 or so indigenous spp are excluded from the quiz!

I used "excellent feeling" to interpret (use) his own words "I have a strong feeling" which is stood to mean congratulations! (hopefully robcar got that message!)
