No 2 - another small tree

This was about 4 m in height, in a valley, growing solitarily. Shape was very "ordinary tree-like" from a distance (with bad eyesight

) it looked like an almond tree.

fraxinus angustifolia. there is a solitary tree in a valley close to the Rhus.

Is this also present in Buskett? Because I think I saw this and have some seeds, but no photos.

yeah, there are some wonderful old trees at Buskett. I love their bark and have not seen anything like them elsewhere. Some people think its native there.
actually the plant you photographed might have come all the way from Buskett by wind or more probably by water.

I will try to plant these seeds also then, I don't like to plant seeds of stuff I don't know, so this now makes me happy...

If not mistaken Fraxxnu (Ash) is also an indegenous tree of Malta. Its decidious and like white poplar (Luq) it likes to grow in Valley beds where its more humid.
