An ornamental plant, found as a garden escape in wasteland and spreading its numerous and large ivy-like leaves over ground or twining with shrubby or erect plants.

Some cuttings were disposed away by the owner of the garden who owe this ipomoea in the nearabout wasteground. 1 year later it is found twining over plants and covering the ground rapidly.

The dark side of some invasive ornamentals.

yep, some ormnamental vines tend to be too successfull. Just look at Birkirkara valley.

Nevertheless, MWP, I like them because they cover perfect the rubbish and trash

serious: I. indica is one of the invasive ornamentals and should be controlled.

It does not seed all that well; it DOES seed, but relatively little, totally self-generated unscientific statistics show that maybe 1% of flowers end up with seed.

Thankfully!

But agree that to cover some crap these plants are useful!

There are several areas covered with these blue flowers.
Maybe it will replace Oxalis in a couple of years time !
