Growing endemic plants

Post by Ingrid »

I am new to this forum and apologise in advance for any stupid questions :-)

I would like to grow some endemic Maltese plants in my new roof garden. Can anybody please advise what species would be the best to start with (for a beginner like me) and where can I get hold of these?

Many thanks,
Ingrid

According to Local environmental laws, it is illegal to collect endemic plants to grow them in your garden. As I said according to Maltese 'Laws'

However you can buy some local species at nurseries. The Gaia foundation has a nursery and has numerous endemic species for sale.

Cuttings no as far as I know but endemic plants yes, including Widnet in Bahar, Cremnophyton and others. Ive been recently and their nursery was quite extensive
