Post by MWP admin »

A neighbour gave me some bulbs from her garden of this plant shown below whch she said that she did not cultivate ut came there alone! it looks a liliaceae, and further more looks like a miniature star of betlehem!

Anyone knows what is it? A wild plant or not?

Could be Nothoscordum inodorum a sweet smelling type of garlic which is naturalised in some gardens (including mine). Native of north America often introduced with other garden plants.

Am I right if I say that Nothoscordum inodurm has been assigned the new taxon of Nothoscordum borbonicum ??

In other words, N. indorum is a synonym of N. borbonicum
