Is it an Allium spp.?

Post by MWP admin »

This is a new post linked to an old quiz entry of a pot of wild plants. I am rewriting a new post for itself on the Plant ID section.

The smooth leaves were tubular (or filiform) and grew about 15-20cm long. In mid may these started to dry an now (29th May) all leaves dried and what remains is a green scape (about 18cm long) and a small bud of about 5mm to 12mm long. It is mucronate, and its green colour hues into purple-maroon.

I was thinkingh about Allium parciflorum.

Below is a pic of the bud.
