small flowers

I invariably find very small-flowered plants incredibly difficult to identify so here are two

1. the yellow flower is less than 3mm across and the plant is barely an inch high - seems to inhabit disturbed / dry ground

2. the light blue flowers are also small less than 5mm I wud say. Invariably I come across this one ( or similar ) in valley bottoms only so it must like some shade as well as humid conditions

any ideas ?

I think I have seen that Vicia at Wied Qirda valley bottom. Have you seen it there too? Regards the Asteraceae no idea. From the flower looks all the same. Maybe you can post fruit and leaves pics if you have.

The Asteraceae could be a lata Hypochaeris scabra.

The Vicia is difficult. Maybe tenuissima or tetrasperma but need the plant with fruits. if you find it again press it for me. At the moment i am struggeling with this group of little lilac Vicias too.

Yes, Hyoseris. Sorry for the typing mistake.

V. tenuissima grows at the valleybottom of Wied Qirda so that must be your plant.

thanks Sdravko - it is at least a consolation for me that very small plants give a hard time to experts llike you as well - with me they just give me a headache as the net does not always provide enough material for identification
