I have planted 2 dozens rananculus bulbs and about half have sprouted. On examining the dug unsprouted bulbs they where infested with small cream/grey small worms. I took these to an entomolgy Lab and was told that they are Scarid fly worms.
How can I treat againsts these pests becasue I am thinking that the sprouted ones also might have the worms and might get diseased too. Is there some special pesticide or tecgnique please ?
Thanks

Solution
I found on the net a technique which i think it worked.
1: flood pot in water for 20mins to suffocate worms
2: pour water from a tap gently in pot leaving it to pass from the bottom pf the pot for about 5-10mins
3) apply a suitable pesticide
4) leave in the sun to make the soil dry as quick as possible.
