Special quiz for the administrator of this forum against depressions (watch the petals- usually 4)! It is a nice plant: not showy ornamental & friendly naturalised (e.g. close to Malta`s coasts)....still 1 beer in march (for me for wrong answers)

Hi jackpot -Your quizzes emphasise my by now very clear ignorance- i do not have the faintest idea, and i do not think that I have ever observed something even remotely like it

However this quiz is specially designed for lifting the spirits of MWP administrator so it is up to him to think of something....

as far as I noticed, in Malta it is an ornamental tree and a shrub in the wild. The tree is easy to find: Across the entrance of Preluna Hotel in Sliema, between bus station and zebra crossing

I can assure you that i did not meet anyone and neither am i enlightened -

I just spent quite a lot of time looking through the literature and browsing the internet, since this very distinct plant made me very curious

The most part of the plant that I like is the buds - look like prehistoric metal nails or lance-heads. Thanks for sharing Jack
