Plant more than 1m high. I find either the flower, or the leaves in my books, but not both together.

I am quite sure that it is Sonchus asper - it is similar to S. oleraceus but has more serrated margin and plaer and compact flowers. The latter 2 fits perfectely with the photo of greenhorn.

Edit: plaer = paler
