RB, if you are still wondering what is this, it can be found on Fungi/fauna part of my website with precise IDentification. I am currentely trying to identify my funghi pics and running through all posts in this section.

By now you should have figured out that it is Laetiporus sulphureus. It's quite rare but one of the few perennial and attractive mushrooms I know. It is sought by mushroom hunters so I would not specify more on the locations, else that I also know one from Gozo on Eucalyptus trunk.
