injama ta' l-aħmar
Hi everybody,
Had no clue in what section I should put my question. Stephen, if you want to move it to somewehre else, no problem.
I just learnt, that the expression “injama ta' l-abjadâ€, refers to the Picea (Picea abies?). However I couldn't find, to what tree refers the expression “injama ta' l-aħmarâ€. Does anyone know more about this?
Thanks

Arbutus unedo
Hi everybody,
Does anybody know, where in Malta I could find an "Arbutus unedo" tree? Is there one in San Anton Gardens?
I've never seen one in real.
Thank you

Thank you for your considered answer. Grazzi! However, I did some more "googeling" and found the following explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendrite_(crystal) Mineralogy and palaeontology In palaeontology, dendritic mineral crystal forms are often mistaken for fossils. These pseudo fossils ...

Fossilised plants ?
Hi to everybody,
I’m really glad this forum is back
! Grazzi !
In Floriana I found these pavement stones.
Now, I wonder, are these "patterns" artificial and of no importance or are these fossilised plants? And if so, do you happen to know what plant this is?
Thank you

Delphinium / Pedidalwett ?
Hi to everybody
Near Mosta we found a plant where we are not sure, have different meanings, what kind of plant this is.
Seems to be no maltese wild plant. Maybe some kind of Delphinium / Pedidalwett? What do you think?
Thank you

Hi everybody,
my guess is Brachychiton acerifolius.
http://www.hear.org/starr/images/image/ ... 0&o=plants
According to H.C.Weber: "... a total of about 50 speciemes were planted for the first time in Malta (e.g. St.Julians).

Wow, this is worth to be reported to “Heritage Malta”! I’ve never seen or heard of five of them, all parallel. But that doesn’t mean anything; I’m not an expert. In the booklet “Cart-Ruts”, by David Trump there are mentioned: three rut groups duplicated tracks ruts forming a fork multiple groups pai...

I dont really know, maybe this will help you… Spring water was provided from the water-table under the Main street "Strada Reale", pass through the Grotto of Our Lady of Mellieha "Strada Nona" and kept running until reaches the valley spring at "Wied tal-Madonna". http://sites.google.com/site/maltes...
