The small yellow flower is common but only about 5 mm diameter?

The green plant (herb?) is always inside caves and, in this case in a Punic tomb at the cart ruts. A Maltese friend thinks it is a type of parsley (Turcine?) any ideas please?

The green plant is Adianthum capillus-veneris - the maiden hair fern and as it says it is one of the few wild ferns (about 7 in total) that we have, and amongst them it is the most frequent. I have seen this in several humid places the strangest being under pipes of air conditions at a high wall (which was propably leaking water). In Maltese it is called Tursin il-Bir.

The yellow flower is the Calendula arvensis var. bicolor Normally they are all yellow but the rarer var.bicolor is met here and there especially at Buskett / Dingli Clifs area. More common in Gozo.

managed to grow it from spores in my garden. actually it is quite easy

btw, how long it took to form visible plantlets after he innoculation of the spores on the soil?
