The small yellow flower is common but only about 5 mm diameter?
The green plant (herb?) is always inside caves and, in this case in a Punic tomb at the cart ruts. A Maltese friend thinks it is a type of parsley (Turcine?) any ideas please? |

The green plant is Adianthum capillus-veneris - the maiden hair fern and as it says it is one of the few wild ferns (about 7 in total) that we have, and amongst them it is the most frequent. I have seen this in several humid places the strangest being under pipes of air conditions at a high wall (which was propably leaking water). In Maltese it is called Tursin il-Bir.
Check for this in the website:

The yellow flower is the Calendula arvensis var. bicolor Normally they are all yellow but the rarer var.bicolor is met here and there especially at Buskett / Dingli Clifs area. More common in Gozo.
