Nice images xilpa. I too have at least 2 images like yours which are waiting identification. I learnt that it is very to identify insects to the specis level from photos. I was also surprisedwhen I asked an expert about ID of the 'common wild bee' and he said ID is difficult as there is no current study on wild bees - probably refering to hybridisation problem and hence need a caught specimen for full analysis and ID.

Check the fauna page of this site since I think the whiteblack banded wasp is included there.
