Artemisa ?

Post by MWP admin » Sun Oct 26, 2008 3:11 pm

This comes from last June, again from Gozo. I started to follow it as early as in March, but id did not flower through Spring and early Summer. In June I could see few tiny buds which after a bit of dissection, it resulted to belong to the Asteracea family (not 100% sure either as the sample was very small). The leaves are nicely aromatic and fleshy. Up to end of June no flowers so it must be a Summer flowering plant.

I was thinking on some sort of Artemisa (eg A. vulgaris), but I am not convinced of course.

Maybe our resident ornamental experts have seen this plant. I found it more than once.
