Remarks:	Two subspecies are reported to occur in Malta. Allium roseum ssp. roseum, is the dominant subspecies lacking inflorescence bulbils, whereas Allium roseum ssp. bulbiferum has red bulbils in the umbel and is much rarer. -

Localities in Malta:	Frequent in several areas around Malta and Gozo such as at Buskett/Clapham Junction, Mistra Valley, Selmun, Bahrija and Gnejna.
Plant Height:	25-45cm.
Flowering Period:	Mar - Apr
Protection in Malta:	Not Protected by Law (LN200/2011 or LN311/2006)
Red List 1989:	Not listed in the Flora section of the National Red Data Book (Lanfranco, 1989)
