Further Information:
One of the largest grasshoppers with adult females reaching up to 70mm in length. Found throughout the Maltese Islands, especially near cultivated land, where it is often seen on trees and shrubs. Despite large size, it causes very little damage to crops. Nymphs can be orange or green; adults almost always beige but may be a darker grey. Common.
